If yes, here’s is one opportunity for you to become an emerging leader with TechWomen, if you are a professional woman in tech. The 2018 TechWomen application is currently opened to professional women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields who are citizens and permanent residents of the following countries:
Algeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan or Zimbabwe at the time of application and while participating in the program.
TechWomen is an Initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and their mission is to empower, connect and support the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by providing them access and opportunity to advance their careers, pursue their dreams, and become role models for women and girls in their communities.
I am glad Nigeria is on the list so if you are a professional woman in STEM, get on the website right now and see if you qualify. If you qualify, you stand the chance of being selected as a participant in this all-expense paid trip to the United States and you’ll get the opportunity of gaining access to a network that might catapult you from obscurity into the limelight.
The program will start in September 2018 in San Fransisco, California and end in October 2018 in Washington, DC
