1. Build Trust

The word, “trust” is abstract, but it’s an essential element you need if you truly want to persuade people. That’s because many people associate spending with some type of pain or loss. Spending, to them, means parting away with hard-earned money therefore, they are weary even before the start of a negotiation or transaction process.

However, when people trust you, their defense mechanism is not as strong, and you have a higher chance of persuading them. In building your trust, all you need is to be consistent in your daily habits and character. Your words, how you react and your track record all add up.

People watch if you keep to your words, they study if you are a person of integrity and they also study how you handle difficult situations. So, if you truly want to persuade people, you need to do things that help you build trust with others.

Being or becoming energetic starts with being passionate about what you do. People can feel your passion thousands of miles away and it makes them want to listen to what you have to say.
